O.J. Simpson Bronco Hat

Remember back in June 1994 when O.J. Simpson was accused of murdering his wife? And then the world watched as he drove down the 405 freeway in Los Angeles at high speeds in a ford Bronco with police cars trailing behind.

Well NFL Star Travis Kelce paid homage to that day by wearing a very special hat on the Jim Rome show. Yup, it's a picture of O.J's Bronco being chased by two police cars.

Coincides with the debut of that new show: The People vs OJ Simpson.

Even that hat will go up in value. What a return on it's possible $3-4 production price LOL.

And that show will help push the price of his vehicle. Even more so if the show gets his real Bronco on the show... which shouldn't be a problem at all.

I know they will use the original car chase model in The People vs OJ Simpson but it would be nice to have the new Bronco in it.

I sort of doubt they will due to the value it holds, being in good condition, just about the best condition Bronco from that era I have ever seen. It makes much more sense for them to use replicas, much like what other production companies use to preserve assets since on screen you won't really know if its the real deal or not.

That's a good point, much like what the movies do with special cars that can't be subject to those vulnerabilities on set. Just imagine what O.J.'s bronco will be worth years from now, already it holds tremendous value.

Most definitely, they would never use the actual original on a show. Way too risky if anything were to happen to it

Tom 06-09-2016 02:19 PM

Indeed.

plus it's too easy to create a 'replica' has to be a good amount of bronco's sitting out there waiting for someone to buy them. Given how old that gen of bronco is, it only makes sense. If we were talking about some 50-60+ year old car, then it would be much harder.

Exactly, at that point, I believe they would have to go through the whole molding process to ensure they had enough replacement panels and what not to fix them.
