UAW and Bronco?

Ok so the UAW ratified the new contract over the weekend... but I'm wondering why no one is tlaking about the Bronco and RAnger anymore?

You would of thought with all the sound a fury spewed over the last few weeks that the minute the UAW confirmed the new contract-which supposedly included ranger and bronco specifics- the autoverse would of been jumping for joy over the new vehicles being ostensibly confirmed...

Which worries me... Are they really coming back, or was dropping ranger and bronco hints simply an excellent way for Ford to get the public on their side vs the UAW?

After all perception is reality, and if consumers perceive the UAW is the bad guy they must be the bad guys

I tried reading up on the contract and the examiner mentioned the Bronco recently but I'm not sure if this was before or after the contract was ratified. What do you think?

Nothing in the Press Release alludes to Bronco or Ranger production... they mention new powertrain technologies but not new vehicles...

Found a mention on Michigan Live stating that two new products will be produced at the plant, one in 2018 and another coming out no later than 2020 but nothing concrete about the actual production models.
But still nothing concrete.

We may hear a definite answer in 2016 or 2017, before the first new model is produced because Ford may need to remodel the plant's production line for the 2018 model.

Maybe.

I just find it suspicious that all this sound and fury was made about the Bronco/Ranger come back prior to the vote and now that the vote is over we get total radio silence.

Why say anything at all?

Don't know. Maybe Ford used the rumors as a way to get those votes in.

Could be, both the Ranger and the Bronco would have been high volume and popular products.

The Ranger would be high volume, the Bronco would not.
