6th Bronco Built in Michigan

Ford's Michigan plant that currently produces the C-Max and Focus will move production of the two models to Mexico in 2018. That leaves room for other key models to slot in, those being the all-new Ranger that revealed earlier this year and the highly likely chance of a U.S.-spec version, along with the now confirmed Bronco.

So people will be put on leave while they renovate the facility to make the Ranger and Bronco, but these models should be huge, so ultimately its good for hem.

They mentioned something like this when negotiating with the auto workers union. Ford said that production will move to the new Ranger and Bronco. Maybe the Bronco will be based off of the Ranger since they are sharing the same facility. Streamline the production process?

Hopefully it's a paid leave.

It would only make sense to do that with the same facility and with vehicles that won't be all that far off from each other, it's how auto production is structured these days, doubt they'll move away from that efficient process.

I'm not sure. might be paid. Might be paid but not as much. Might have a difference based on two tier contracts that some unions have.

Ford has until 2018 when the production of the Focus and C-Max ends to figure this out. In the meantime, they'll also need to design the new Bronco.

We'll probably see more renderings around 2017 before production is set to begin.

It's official, the Bronco will be built at the Michigan Assembly Plant, same place where the 2019 Ford Ranger will be built. so we could be getting a mid-sized Ranger-based SUV with a body-on-frame platform.

It's expected to be a bit bigger than the global Ranger, but we have no idea just how much bigger. Maybe a few inches added to the overall length and width?
