Carbon fiber bodied Bronco

H&H Performance is well known for their Mustang restoration projects, but they have also done several Broncos. Their latest will be a 1970 which will be the 'first carbon fiber bodied Bronco ever built'. With classic models being so popular these days, its seems that tuning companies are expanding into new areas I never thought we'd see. Pricing is expected to be around $250,000.

Quote:
Ensuring that it lives up to the expectations implied by its aggressive styling, the powertrain will feature a 750-plus hp supercharged 2018 Ford Performance Coyote V-8 engine, six-speed automatic, Atlas transfer case, extreme-duty driveshafts, and the original differentials with 4.10 gears. Further modifications will include a full roll cage, two-inch body lift, 3.5-inch suspension lift, Bilstein dual-chambered shocks, Wilwood 12-inch four-wheel disc brakes with a Hydroboost system, carbon fiber wheels, and 33-inch tires.

this would be the perfect candidate to get a full-electric powertrain due to all the weight that has been saved.
in the future we're likely to see more EV restomods, this electric Toyota 2000GT is a great example of what can be done....

An electric powered Bronco is blasphemy lol! I know this is the direction that Ford is heading in with all their future models, but we've yet to see them really deliver with an electric powerplant. The Focus was a big disappointment.

I'm not sure which model in Fords stable will be the first to go fully electric, but we know they have hybrid variants of the F150 and Mustang in development. From what we've seen with the mild hybrid in the new Ram 1500, it hasn't exactly boosted fuel economy by all that much.
