It already happened, sort of, with the new Chevy Blazer. It carries on the higher rear windshield and coupe-like styling. At least this time they did it right by including a lot of Camaro DNA. Without that it would be a flop.

Suppose we'll have to wait and see what sort of off road capability it has, before we determine whether or not it's a flop. The redesign is going to be hit or miss from person to person, but everyone was hoping to see a continuation of the previous gens capability.

You're right.

Looking at what should make it at the very least, a ladder frame should be one of them. I won't mind buying a base Bronco that was built to be mod friendly. Sort of like what Toyota did to the FR-S. Now look at the tuning culture around it.

I would like to see an expansion of Ford Performance parts across their lineup, and with so many ST trims coming to their SUV's, many of those mods would probably be applicable to the Bronco. If you're going to try and complete with the Wrangler you need to offer a huge amount of customization/aftermarket support.

If done right I bet they can have brands to the effect of Alpina start producing products. Its the next best step for Ford with how things are going currently.
Yes there is Hennessey but their reputation has taken a deep dive.

I've never been to interested in Hennessey products. Although they have shown off some impressive kits, I've heard that their products aren't the most reliable. According to their website, it looks like they have plans to support the Bronco in 2020.
