Well Ford can afford to double down on the Bronco's trim levels/editions now that they have eliminated basically all of their cars in North America. I don't think Ford needs to worry about interest in the Bronco, so long as they deliver with the redesigned look.

I'd like to see an electronically adaptive suspension in the new Bronco to make the ride less jarring because they're bound to run over more bumps than the average car. It's just so liberating to be something rugged like a Bronco even when you're just driving around the city, those holes and bumps, maybe even the off curb, seems like a fun challenge to roll over.

I've been daily-driving a 2WD Xterra for a dozen years now. I like it because it's simple, dependable, and sometimes fun, like me. It doesn't see anything very rocky, just dirt roads & beaches, and carries enough stuff for a weekend of camping or swap-meet selling/buying.

Honestly, all I want in the new Bronco is a sunroof/removable roof, manual transmission, close to 300 hp (preferably normally aspirated, number of cylinders not too important), body-on-frame, and tall enough that I can get under it to change the oil filter without a jack.

It would be nice if I could put a bike-rack in the back, and carry bicycles upright (with the front wheel removed). And nice if I could fit a hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier on it, too.

Top 5 for me in order of importance;

1.) A manual transmission is my absolute "line in the sand". No manual, I'll pick up a Wrangler, Scrambler or Taco with a MT. Hopefully Ford won't pull a "Ranger" on the Bronco.
2.) Retro styling, Bronco v1 should come to mind. It should not even come close to what a Ranger or F150 look like.
3.) Priced at or below the Wrangler, similarly equipped.
4.) Removable roof and roof panels.
5.) Removable doors.
