Overlanding is the "new" offroading for those who've never been wheeling before. Its merging camping and wheeling all into one "do it all vehicle". Ford delivers and the Bronco can be newest rig on the block.

If we do indeed see a Raptor variant for the Bronco, than it'll likely come equipped with their new off road cruise control system. Could help facililtate interest in dirt diving for those who may be new to the segment.

Seen how it works and the system is quite impressive to the point it has me wondering what else could be in store once autonomous tech comes out. For all we know it could suggest ways to steer on certain trails

1973 with a custom Ford Fiesta paint job. Its still powered by the factory 302 and C$ transmission, but the owner has added an HEI distributor and power brakes for better reliability. This truck is one of the many incredible vehicles that will be seen on the 2018 Power Tour.

1973 that's been named the "Black Beauty". Its got a 302 V8, auto trans, power steering and power disk brakes. Its also got a heavy duty tarpaulin, riveted fenders and only 16,000 miles on it. I believe it was up for auction, but it looks like its already been sold.

1966 one of kind model that celebrates the 24 hour Le Mans race. It was custom built for SEMA in 2016, and its a really cool nod to Fords racing history. Its powered by a 377 cubic inch V8, fitted with an Edelbrock fuel injection and ignition system, custom headers and a full custom exhaust. Altogether this build produces 540hp. Its currently on sale, but there was no mention of a price. I have a feeling its going to fetch a pretty penny.

Lots of nice examples that go to show how creative a Ford community can get once they have the right product to work with.
The real challenge now will be setting up the next Bronco to accomplish the same thing. At worst (or best) it could just be a small cogg of Fords larger objective.

I love that Le Mans inspired model! Though it doesn't look like there are many stock components left on it aside from the body. I do hope that the new generation sees the same level of customization and aftermarket support. Fingers crossed that the next gen model retains the boxy styling.

1975 from Malibu California. Its powered for a 302 V8 that's been mated to a rebuilt C-4 auto transmission. It has a raised stance with a 2 1/2" Wild Horses lift kit, a 1" body lift and a set of 33" mud terrain tires. Its going for $43,900 and is still available at Hemmings.com

Car tuning company ICON has just recently shown off their Old School BR project. Under the hood it has a 5.0l V8 Coyote engine, that's been taken from the current Ford Mustang. This is mated to either a 5 speed manual or a Ford four speed auto. Its got a four wheel drive system, with up to six low range gearing options for off road enthusiasts. Its off road capability has been improved via a 12 inch Fox Racing coilover suspension at all four corners.
