Yea that's what I said. So logic dictates that if you have to produce Chinese market cars in China then facts and figures about the Chinese car market have ZERO bearing on the future of North America product.

Just saying, context is king.

Bummer, so what they see as a viable market for the new Bronco in China may not necessarily be the same for NA...

Tiny update but Ford announced their plan to add four new vehicles to the lineup over the next few years at the 16 North American International Auto Show. They will be new nameplates. Does that mean the Bronco won't be one of them since it's not technically new?

Hard to tell because Ford can be allotting one or two of these new SUVs under the Lincoln marque. higher chance is all of the new nameplates are under Ford but who knows.

Could a Ford EcoSport SUV that was spotted last year in Dearborn be one of these new nameplates?

There's a market for it that's consistently growing, a model easily justified. If they don't go forward with this it'll be them leaving money on the table.

Ford is stressing the importance of the SUV market and America's Ford president expects this segment to cover around 40% of the U.S. market. They would be crazy not to take advantage of the SUV boom.

Even better if they took ideas from Tony Besson's 1969 Ford Bronco. I think that one is a Great Wrangler contender and it looks amazing!
