2018 Woodward Dream Cruise

Just wanted to share some pictures of classic Bronco's that were out in full force at this event. A good number of them were full restorations that would warrant a hefty price tag on today's market. A bunch of the owners were in fact Ford employees, but they didn't have any new details to share about the forthcoming 2020 model

Some of those restomods are absolutely stunning. I love that nickname "The Nasty One" from the first picture. Shame we didn't get any inside info about the new model.

Really hope that we see a similar modding community around the new model when it launches. Unfortunately the ball is in Ford's court and we really don't know if they are going to deliver or not.

Toyota and Jeep are brands that continues to prove that when a product is built right for a sole purpose, which here is for enthusiasts, the response goes as expected.
SEMA is a great example of this, tuning culture of the FJ Cruiser and Wrangler flourishes around those times.

Considering there is a whole Moab community just for classic Bronco's, I think the odds of this are quite high. Ford should probably considering developing a proper in house aftermarket branch like FCA did with Mopar.

Ford should do what Nissan did below to get aftermarket companies involved and make it public. It will serve Ford well, probably better than it did for Nissan. It might even get first time car buyers to look past the OEM Accessories brochure.

Third party tuning companies take it upon themselves to develop systems/kits for new models based upon the amount of interest they anticipate in a new model. We've already seen that Hennessey has an interest with the upcoming Bronco.

Are you guys really that interested in voiding your factory warranty right out the gate? Until we have a confirmation on the Bronco's powertrain, we don't really know if any sort of tunes will be necessary. To be honest if they underpower this model, they are going to a tough time pushing units.

I think that they were more talking about suspension and body mods as opposed to engine tunes. There's a plethora of capable engines for Ford to choose from, I'm just hoping that we see more than one offered at launch.
