Not worth it, in that case Ford is better off taking the hit and hoping the model throughout all trims does well enough that in the end they're still in profit, sometimes that sort of approach can work.

Maybe way down the line we'll get a performance Bronco in limited quantities, but most trims will just have a few improvements here and there to keep production costs down.

A Raptor version should be one of them especially if the Bronco is supposed to share a lot with the current ranger, much easier to do that when they already did a lot of homework with the Ranger. Plus everyone knows what to expect in a Raptor.

I think a Raptor version would do very well with the off-roading enthusiasts, especially if it has the 450-hp twin-turbocharged V-6 engine.

Agreed. Ranger Raptor will be the answer for many off-road enthusiasts, however, we still don't know where Ford's planning to sell it. I know that a lot of NA off-roaders would love to see it in the American automotive market, but, correct me if I'm wrong, Ford hasn't announced anything yet.

Probably the best way to look at it is being the hardcore Tacoma TRD that everyone wanted but ended up with the TRD Tacoma we have now, and already you can see how well that very same Tacoma did in sales, it was a massive hit. Now there's a void left by Toyota for something higher performing and guess who's coming for that pot of gold?
