Graduate Creates Ford Bronco Concept

An Art Center Graduate named Ki Hang Nam created a Ford Bronco concept model and it's targeted towards surfers. There's an orthogonal grille, circular headlamps, brackets and a fancy roof panel for surf boards. Reminds me of Tron for some odd reason.

Aside from the model's futuristic aesthetics, the body shape and general lines actually reminds me of the Ford Bronco. It still has that slightly boxy shape and relatively flat roof-line not to mention huge ground clearance.

If the next generation Bronco looks like that I will be happy enough, not as true to the original as I hoped for but close enough. The most important is design DNA and certain parts clearly have ford written all over it, that grille being one of them.

I think that's appealing about that concept is just how minimalist it is with everything we need and nothing more. There's also a pair of circular headlamps that's barely visible with a pair of really thin brackets.

Where do you see the circular headlamps?

They're very well hidden in the black flat panel in the front, but you can see two tiny ovals there when the video zooms in. I also noticed the bonnet's shape, how it just flattens instead of the usual curve we're used to.

Ohhhh it's only in the photo behind the guy talking. He says it himself that he didn't put it in, it's just the brackets that he put in.

I actually hope they do away with most round shapes, a couple round lights won't hurt but one thing for sure is basing the design heavily off the F150 concept will position them best among the segment. It will be one great way to make an SUV that screams Ford:

Already the concept above has some of this going on.

They could definitely use so much of that concept and implement it into the Bronco to make it look amazing. Even parts like that dip in the roof adds a lot of character. The aggressive lines of the hood would be another one because it matches up with the roof.

The roofline of the concept would go great with the front facia of the F-150, that recognizable Ford square front with the spartan headlights.
